Also, my first focus group has suggested that I should use black and white to convey that idea.
I have decided that I will use an almost black and white scheme in the flashbacks where the younger couple appears, as the black and white shows that that was a long time ago. I have therefore decided to create three colour schemes for all the time periods that appear in my short film. I believe that this will help me achieve what I wanted, as so far my short film could come across as a little confusing. This would clearly make the story easier to follow because the audiencewill automatically distinguish the time periods away from each other. I have also been told to make a distinction between the past the present and the past where the couple is older. I believe that moving it will make the narrativeclearer and easier to follow. I believe that this is a right comment to make, as I personally did not like that scenethere, however I wanted to see whether my target audiencehas agreed. My target audience has suggested to move the third scene, of John looking at the letter on his own, further on in the sequence, as it is not clear what is going on what it comes right after the doctor scene. I have taken into account that the music of my choice was too short and made sure to question my audiencewhether they thought that the order of the scenes made sense and if not, what they were suggesting. I have conducted a focus group in order to find out what my target audience thought about my short film. I will re-take these photos so that it is easier for me to edit these together in Photoshop later. I have, however, realised that I need to take a photo of Claire on her own and the second photo needs to be exactly the same but with Martin standing behind her with his hands over her eyes. I will not cut the couple out of their original background but instead I will try to layer the sunny field over their original background, so that it makes the scene look much happier. I think it will represent their past and their happy life together. I have taken a photo in the summer of a summery field, which looked very sunny, and I have decided that I will try and use that photo in the background of the couple.

I personally thing that the more aesthetically pleasing format was the landscape picture, however I know that to follow the poster convention for my short film I should keep my poster in the portrait format – I will be able to edit the photos in Photoshop, so that the image is still landscape, but the full poster will be vertical.

I have taken a series of pictures both portrait and landscape format. This will allow me to edit the male’s hands over the female’s face and make the male look transparent so that the audience can still see the female’s eyes through his hands. I have ensured to take a few photos of the male with his hands over the female’s face and a few with him only standing in the background. I personally think that the photos that I’ve taken in the landscape format look much more aesthetically pleasing. I thought that scene looked especially good and realised that it would look nice if I show the male character through the transparent effect. I have photographed the scene where the male character suprises the female character.
